These terms cover the Bay Geeks, LLC SMS support line, (855) 914-2308 (the "SMS Program"). By opting in to the SMS Program you agree to these terms. They supplement our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
What We Text You About
The SMS Program is conversational customer care: replies to your questions from our support assistant and technicians, updates about your service request, appointment scheduling and reminders, and account notifications. We do not send marketing or promotional blasts through this number.
How You Opt In
You are only enrolled in the SMS Program if you choose to be, in one of two ways:
- You text us first at (855) 914-2308, or
- You check the optional SMS-consent box when providing your phone number on one of our website forms (for example, the callback or appointment-booking form in our website chat). The box is unchecked by default and never required.
Consent is not a condition of purchase or service. You can always reach us and receive full service by phone, email, or this website instead, and choosing not to receive texts never affects your service.
Message Frequency and Cost
Message frequency varies depending on your conversation with us. Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier's plan. Bay Geeks does not charge for text messages, but your carrier's standard messaging rates apply.
How to Opt Out
Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving messages. You will receive a single confirmation that you have been unsubscribed, and no further messages will be sent unless you opt in again. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at [email protected] or 727-579-4335.
Privacy
Your phone number and message content are handled as described in our Privacy Policy. No mobile phone numbers or SMS opt-in data are sold, and none are shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Sharing is limited to the vendors that deliver the messages themselves (our messaging provider, Twilio).
Carriers
Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to effective transmission by your carrier and is not guaranteed.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these SMS Terms from time to time by revising this page. Material changes to how the SMS Program works will be communicated through the program itself or on this Site.
