Full Access, No Black Box
You can see your own data and exactly what's being worked on from an investigative standpoint: full transparency into what the SOC is doing on your behalf.
Advanced Plan · Essential Protection for the AI Era
Our Managed Detection & Response (MDR) service: 24/7 threat monitoring, investigation and guided response across your endpoints, cloud apps and user accounts, without hiring a security team of your own.
Same-day appointments usually available
Most attacks aren't aimed at your business by name: they're aimed at the internet in general, looking for whichever door was left unlocked. Bay Geeks SOC puts a live security operations team behind your business around the clock, watching your endpoints, cloud apps (like Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace) and user accounts for the signs an attacker leaves behind.
It filters the noise that would otherwise bury a small IT team, investigates the alerts that matter, and helps contain issues fast, all without you having to buy, learn, or babysit a stack of separate security tools.
The fastest ransomware attacks now move from first foothold to full breakout in as little as 8 minutes. That's faster than a human alone can typically detect, investigate and respond. Bay Geeks SOC pairs always-on AI (watching for the subtle behavior changes that precede an attack) with human analysts who make the final call and take action, so response doesn't wait on someone noticing an email at 2am.
In the security industry, this category of service has a name: MDR, short for Managed Detection & Response. It's different from EDR (Endpoint Detection & Response): the automated software already running on every device on every Bay Geeks plan, covered on our Bay Geeks EDR page. MDR is the service layer built on top of that: a live team watching identities, cloud accounts and network traffic, not just individual devices, with the SIEM, SOAR and behavioral analytics tools already built in instead of billed separately. Bay Geeks SOC is our MDR offering, included on the Advanced plan.
Why It's Different
You can see your own data and exactly what's being worked on from an investigative standpoint: full transparency into what the SOC is doing on your behalf.
Connects to the security technology you've already invested in (endpoints, network, cloud, identity and ticketing) instead of forcing a rip-and-replace.
A simplified view of at-risk programs, policy violations and user risk, so you always know where your posture stands and what to fix next.
SIEM, SOAR, perimeter monitoring, deception technology, threat intelligence, behavioral analytics (UEBA) and threat hunting, all in one place instead of five logins.
Administrative, executive and compliance reporting mapped to frameworks like PCI DSS, NIST and HIPAA, scheduled automatically or pulled on demand.
The platform arrives pre-configured with detection rules already written, so coverage starts quickly instead of months into a lengthy rollout.
Bay Geeks SOC is the right fit for businesses that have outgrown "just antivirus," especially in industries where a breach carries real regulatory or liability weight.

Common Questions
No, it works alongside it. Antivirus blocks known bad files; Bay Geeks SOC watches for the behavior of an attack in progress (like a compromised login or unusual data movement) that antivirus alone won't catch. If you're on our Automated or Premium plan, your Bay Geeks EDR stays in place and SOC adds a monitoring and response layer on top.
Advanced is a standalone plan that already includes everything in Premium (remote support, our help desk, and quarterly review calls) plus SOC coverage. You don't need to be on Premium first; you can move straight to Advanced.
The platform behind Bay Geeks SOC deploys pre-configured with detection rules already written, so most environments are actively monitored within a day or two of onboarding, not months.
Analysts investigate the alert, confirm whether it's a real incident, and take response action directly: isolating a device, disabling a compromised account, or blocking malicious activity, then walk you through what happened and what to do next.
Yes. Reporting maps to common frameworks like PCI DSS, NIST and HIPAA, and can be scheduled automatically or pulled on demand, useful if you need to show an auditor, insurer, or client that monitoring is actually happening.
Yes, Bay Geeks SOC is our Managed Detection & Response (MDR) service. MDR is the industry term for exactly what this page describes: a live, human-led security team monitoring across your endpoints, identities, cloud and network, backed by AI. If you've been asked whether you have MDR coverage (by an insurer, auditor, or client), this is the answer.
